BBC news is good website for this aspect of websites as it’s not only provide high quality news, but it also have minute by minute auto-update which fulfil the news seekers needs

Surface Credibility

Nike website is good example for this sort of websites as it has a very good design, that gives users impression that it’s professional and that reflects on the content of the website.

Earned Credibility

A good example for these sorts of website is Google as it has earned its’ reputation to be one of the best search engines ever.

Wikipedia is considered one of the most popular websites in the world, because the huge amount of information those people from all over the world share. Whenever when search the internet for information, we more likely get at least one of the results coming from Wikipedia. As people from all over the world post information on Wikipedia, that makes it as a website one of the largest data base that has ever been created.

When it comes to students, whether in universities or even schools, Wikipedia one of the websites those we cannot count on. The reason behind this is for example me as individual I might have a feeling or believes toward a subject, these feelings are based on my personal experience and has been determined by my culture, religion, education and social class. All these mentioned factors actually do affect on the credibility of my post that I have uploaded to Wikipedia, and it might be completely wrong, for someone else who has less knowledge about the subject, and he gets his results from my post, they will take it as a reference.

On the other hand, other websites those we has more trusted information, will not allow public access, so they make sure all the information those are provided on their websites are academic , and has been revealed by professional experts.

Importance of evaluating credibility of websites

According to (Burniske, 2008) when we write our daily works on paper, the information that we give and references those we add, comes back to add credibility to our work. Nowadays getting information is very simple, as all we have to do is to get into the internet and search for what we want, but the question is is this information reliable, and can we count on this information as facts. When a student is conducting a research, there are heaps of information those can be found on the internet, so in order to for him to provide a quality research, he will need to be dealing with certain type of websites, those information they obtain are trusted.

There are different aspects of evaluation, those we put in mind when we receive any sort of information those are provided on the internet, for example who is the author and what is his qualifications. There are also the trustworthiness of the website and its reputation. This is the reason why our lecturer and our friends recommend to us, some certain websites those which earned their global reputation over long time (Fogg, 2003).

Communication and design is made to deliver ideas between or to humans. So in order to deliver a message to a human, we need to understand how humans feel and think. This is where the psychology role plays its most important part; it makes the designers aware of the response of their readers, and shows the designer they best way to deliver a particular message. It has been proven that ideas or designs those has a meaning that can be related to a human behaviour are more likely to be the most powerful designs , as readers can relate themselves to that particular design and treat it , as it belongs to them.

The “chunking technique” in relation to Design and Visual Communication

According to “chambers: Glossary-Chunking Principle, n.d” the term chunking could be defined as “strategy for making more efficient use of short-term memory by recoding information”, it was first found by a Miller, then it proved its efficient in the communication field. Basically through our everyday’s processes we receive and deal with load amount of information, and chunking help us to organise and filter those information, and put in order that makes these information well presented.

Logically when big amount of information is chunked probably, this information will be well organised and consistent in a way that makes the reader can disgust this information, and make the readers follow this information, without felling the load of it. Also enhance the readers’ ability of reading and understanding the whole message that we trying to deliver. The chinking method works with how our brains work, as how now days we write our date of birth in small segments (dd/mm/yy) or on business cards they write phones numbers as 042 XXX XXXX these little trick makes out mind more likely to remember those digits “San Diego Country School of Education: chunking information, n.d”.
